About Hex Sense
Hex Sense combines classic minesweeper mechanics with adorable visuals and a hex-shaped twist, making puzzle-solving feel cozy and rewarding. With multiple chapters introducing new hazards and challenges, there's always something fresh to discover. Whether you're a logic puzzle veteran or just want a relaxing brain-teaser with cute characters, Mochi's hex adventure is the perfect companion for a cozy afternoon.
How to Play
Each level has open and closed tiles. Reach the Exit without stepping on hazards. Moving onto a closed tile reveals what’s inside — if it’s a hazard, you lose. You can move through open tiles and only to closed ones next to them. Numbered tiles show how many hazards surround them (one per tile). Use logic to find safe paths. Tools: Flag – mark suspected hazards. Eye – peek inside a closed tile without stepping on it.
Tips
Start by moving to tiles next to revealed zeros, since those are always safe. Flag tiles you're certain are hazards to keep track of dangers. Save your Eye power-ups for tricky situations where logic alone can't determine the next move. Remember that numbered tiles count hazards in all six surrounding hex directions. Take your time and think through each move carefully—there's no rush!
Advanced Strategies
Learn to recognize common hazard patterns around numbers, like when a tile shows a number matching exactly how many covered neighbors it has—those must all be dangers. Use edge logic along level borders where fewer unknown tiles exist to narrow down possibilities. Pay attention to overlapping number clues, as comparing two adjacent numbered tiles often reveals which shared neighbors must be safe or dangerous.
Frequently Asked Questions
Move Mochi across the hex grid toward the Exit tile. Closed tiles can hide either safe ground or hazards—use the numbers on revealed tiles to figure out which closed neighbors are dangerous. Each number tells you how many hazards surround that tile. Click or tap to move, flag suspected dangers, and use the Eye tool to peek at tiles before stepping.
Begin near revealed zeros or low numbers where paths are clearly safe. Flag tiles you've identified as hazards to visualize safe routes better. Don't waste Eye peeks early—save them for when you're truly stuck. Work from areas with more information outward, and always count surrounding tiles carefully since hex grids have six neighbors instead of eight.
Yes! Hex Sense features cute characters and has no violent content—hazards simply mean you restart the level. It's a great way for kids to practice logical thinking and number skills in a fun, low-pressure environment. The relaxed pace means young players can take their time figuring out each puzzle without feeling rushed.
