Look, Sometimes You Just Want to Kill Ten Minutes

We've all been there. You're between tasks. You've got a little window of time. You could scroll social media again (bad idea) or you could play something that feels good.

This week we added five new games to CozyGame.io, and honestly? I've lost more time to these than I care to admit. Let me walk you through them so you can lose some time too.

First Up: Way Too Many Chickens

Okay so Three Chickens is one of those games that sounds simple and then two hours disappear.

The concept: chickens coming home to roost. You drag them onto tiles. Match three or more, they vanish. Classic match-3 stuff.

But here's the thing — it's endless. There's no final level to beat. The chickens just keep coming and the score keeps climbing and at some point you realize you've been playing so long your coffee went cold.

I like that it doesn't try to be fancy. No energy systems. No waiting. Just chickens and matching and the satisfying little pop when a group clears out. Good for kids too, if you're looking for something that won't rot anyone's brain.

Then There's the Other Chicken Game

Because apparently this was chicken week on CozyGame.io?

Chicken Jump: A Tap Challenge is a completely different vibe. This one's about swiping up to make your chicken jump over obstacles. Simple. Addictive. Infuriating in the best way.

The controls are just swiping from bottom to top. That's it. But the levels get progressively more evil, and suddenly you're seven attempts deep into level 23 wondering where it all went wrong.

It's a good "one more try" game. You know the type. The ones where you absolutely promise yourself this is the last round and then it isn't.

Block Color Puzzle Blast: For When You Want to Feel Clever

This one scratches a specific itch. If you've ever enjoyed Tetris but wished it had more color and less pressure, Block Color Puzzle Blast is your jam.

You drag blocks onto the board, fill complete lines, and watch them blast away. The combos feel genuinely satisfying — there's something about chaining clears together that makes you feel like a genius, even when you're definitely not strategizing as much as you think you are.

I will say the visual style is nice. without being seizure-inducing. The kind of game you can play with your brain at 40% capacity, which is honestly my preferred operating state most afternoons.

Make America Great Again: Wait, Hear Me Out

Yes, the title is... a choice. I know.

But Make America Great Again is a silly 2D wrestling game where you stand in the center of a ring and punch waves of incoming opponents. That's it. That's the whole game.

You press directional buttons to throw punches at the right time. It's pure reflex testing dressed up in wrestling gear. As you play, you unlock special abilities, which adds some progression to what could otherwise feel repetitive.

Is it going to change your life? No. Is it a fun way to spend fifteen minutes pretending you're a wrestling champion? Absolutely. Lean into the absurdity and you'll have a good time.

Void Orbit: The One I Didn't Expect to Love

This was the surprise of the batch for me.

Void Orbit is a space arcade game where you orbit a central core and dodge enemies. Tap to reverse your direction. Survive as long as you can.

Sounds basic, right? It is. But there's something hypnotic about it. The orbiting motion, the timing of the reversals, the narrow escapes — it gets under your skin.

There are also unlockable skins and themes, plus modes like Echo Mirage and Tower Build that add variety. I haven't unlocked everything yet, but I'm working on it. Slowly. During my "breaks."

The multi-language support is a nice touch too. Good to see more players being able to jump in regardless of where they're from.

So What Should You Play First?

Honestly, it depends on your mood:

  • Want to zone out? Three Chickens or Block Color Puzzle Blast

  • Want a challenge? Chicken Jump or Void Orbit

  • Want something ridiculous? That wrestling game. You know the one.

Or just play all five. I won't judge. I literally cannot judge. I played each one "for research" and now it's dark outside and I haven't eaten dinner.

New games drop regularly around here, so if none of these catch your eye, check back soon. There's always something fresh to try.

And maybe set a timer or something. Learn from my mistakes.
